A 1989 car does not seem old, until you do the math It does not seem to long in the past that I got interested into cars mostly detailing and appearance to start. Then went into handling and braking Started getting into some power. then a bad accident happened while I was spectating a street drag race. One of the drivers was paralyzed from that. I was one of the few that stayed until help arrived. Never was into racing, until SCCA style was introduced to me. I have owned Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Plymouth, Chrysler, Cadillac, Fiat, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Lincoln, Jaguar and even a Ford Escort. I do not know exactly what happened, but financially I was good one day and found myself in debt up to my neck the next. I had 4 cars and one ran - poorly. I dug myself out of that hole and thankfully have never returned I got rid of all 4 of those cars and bought a 1984 Firebird Trans Am. Brought it back to life - sold it - bought it back and finished it. It took about 2 years Since then I have found/bought/traded several 3rd gen Camaro/Firebirds. I have learned a lot about these vehicles from research or personal experience. That personal experience part costs so much more than the research part.
Today January 2017 I had 2, until I decided to change out the 200k+ engine, I now have 3 projects.
The engine swap in the 89, with all the upgrades, is going well
The 91 GTA could be put together in a weekend, if I had a weekend free
The 89 Formula will be together sometime in the spring
I am hoping to build a house/garage in this area this year (2017) That will pushback some projects, however they need to be in one piece to move my shop back to where I live At least that is the goal for now.

Time is just flying by. Especially the older I get. My oldest daughter will be turning 31 in a few months. My purple car is 44 years old. Not to mention I'll be 55 next month. Zoom!

Time does fly so you should take advantage of every second of every day. Live life like you will die tomorrow because you just might. Me, I have fun with everything, laugh at anything including myself and floor it whenever I can. WIDE OPEN THROTTLE! Get rid of the rearview mirror too because who cares what's behind you. It's all about the road ahead. Suggestion: tomorrow morning when you leave the house for work, do a healthy burnout. You'll love it.
